Race Regulations – Ørestad Half Marathon 2026

These regulations apply to Ørestad Half Marathon. By registering for the race, every participant accepts the rules below.

1. Participation and Age Requirements

  • The minimum age for participation is 15 years. Participants under the age of 18 may participate only with prior approval from the organiser and must provide written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
  • The organiser reserves the right to make individual assessments regarding participation.

2. Registration

  • Registration is completed online via the official race platform.
  • All registrations are binding and non-refundable. Entries cannot be transferred to another participant.
  • In the event of cancellation of the race due to circumstances beyond the organiser’s control – including, but not limited to, lack of approval from relevant authorities – all entries will automatically be transferred to the following year’s event. No monetary refunds will be issued in such cases.

3. Race Number and Timing

  • The race number must be worn visibly on the front of the body at all times during the race.
  • It is not permitted to alter, cover, or manipulate the race number.
  • Official timing is conducted with chip timing, and all results are based on this measurement.

4. Course and Race Execution

  • Participants must follow the officially marked course at all times.
  • All instructions given by race officials and volunteers must be followed.
  • The organiser reserves the right to modify the course or race execution due to safety concerns, authority requirements, or other unforeseen circumstances.

5. Conduct

  • Receiving unauthorised assistance is strictly prohibited. This includes pacing by bicycles, vehicles, or non-registered runners.
  • Littering is only permitted in designated waste zones.

6. Health and Liability

  • Participation is at the participant’s own risk. The organiser is not liable for injuries, illness, or loss of personal belongings.
  • Medical personnel have the authority to withdraw a participant from the race if deemed necessary for health and safety reasons.
  • Participants are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate insurance coverage.

7. Results and Protests

  • Official results are based on chip timing.
  • Any protests must be submitted in writing no later than 30 minutes after the race has concluded.

8. Disqualification

Participants may be disqualified for:

  • Using another participant’s race number or allowing others to use their own
  • Failing to complete the official course
  • Receiving unauthorised assistance
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct or violation of fair competition rules

9. Photo and Media

  • By registering for Ørestad Half Marathon, participants consent to being photographed and filmed during the event.
  • Images and video may be used by the organiser and affiliated partners for marketing, communication, and documentation purposes across print, digital, and social media platforms, without further consent or compensation.
  • Only accredited photographers are permitted to capture images within restricted race areas (start, finish, and controlled zones) for commercial use or resale.
  • Photography from public areas is permitted; however, such material may not be used for commercial purposes without prior written consent from the organiser.
  • Participants may request removal of specific images by contacting the organiser in writing at info@strataseries.com.

10. Amendments

  • The organiser reserves the right to amend these regulations, the course, or the event schedule due to safety considerations, authority requirements, or circumstances beyond the organiser’s control.
